Place and Attitude (2022)

The series of photographs take you on a journey of exploring an individuals interaction with their environment. There are three main settings throughout the series to explore.

The Statue

The journey starts with the indivudal in front of a public statue. Every individual has their own beliefs around culture and religion leading to their actions being dictated by those beliefs.

When told to act according to their natural instincts the individual climbs the statue. Whilst others would have respected the statue, this individual does otherwise, allowing for a comedic interaction to occur between the individual and the statue.

The Train Station

The second part of the journey explores the individual in an emotionally robust environment; the train station. A train station is a stop between someones current and final destination. Emotions such as expectations, excitement, sadness, grief and many more can be experienced on train platforms. An anticipation of what will and what has happened.

How does the individual react when confronted with the bundle of emotions?

Train stations seem somewhat silent in contrast to all the motions each individual is going through.

The Train Station

The final part of the journey is colourful and vibrant.
